Recognising the need for specialised skills to support individuals with life-threatening illnesses, we offer a variety of courses aimed at enhancing the expertise and capabilities of healthcare providers and family members.

Our courses range from intensive full-time programs to accessible five-day courses and one-day workshops, all centred around the principles and practices of palliative care. These educational offerings are conducted under the auspices of the Association of Palliative Care Centres of South Africa (APCC), ensuring that our curriculum is both rigorous and aligned with national standards.

Full-time Courses

Full-time Home-Based Personal Care Worker

Format: full-time face-to-face theory, practical work and work skills placement
Duration: 12 months
Cost: R26 000.00 per person (50% deposit on acceptance, followed by 10 monthly installments of R1 300.00)

Grade 12 schooling with English and Maths (Core or Lit)

Introduction to Palliative Care for Carers

Our 5-day course, scheduled on February 24-28, July 21-25, and September 08-12, 2025, is tailored to equip trained home-based carers, community workers or nursing assistants, with essential knowledge and skills in palliative care.

Introduction to Palliative Care for Health Professionals

Join us for our specialised 5-day course on March 24-28, and October 13-17, 2025, designed for medical officers, professional nurses, clinical nurse practitioners, and allied workers seeking to enhance their palliative care expertise.

1 Day Spiritual Palliative Care Workshop

Calling all spiritual leaders and counsellors! Join us on 19th March 2025, and a second one on 20th August 2025 for a transformative one-day workshop focusing on spiritual palliative care. Gain valuable insights and tools to provide holistic support during difficult times.

Closing dates for enrolment are 13th March 2025 and 31st July 2025 respectively.

Palliative Care Workshop for Carers and Volunteers

Are you a caregiver or family member looking after a loved one? Our one-day workshops on 13th May 2025, and a second one on 21ST October 2025 are designed just for you. Learn essential skills and strategies to enhance your caregiving journey and provide the best possible support.

Closing dates for enrolment are 30th April 2025 and 30th September 2025 respectively.
