R40 For 40 Years
This year, East Rand Palliative Care marks 40 Years of Care and Community. We’re inviting our community to be part of that care in a simple way. We’ve set a goal of raising R400,000 through our R40 for 40 Years campaign, asking people to donate R40 or more in honour of 40 Years of Care and Community.
Candles of Remembrance 2026
Join East Rand Palliative Care for Candles of Remembrance, a meaningful afternoon of live music, connection and remembrance at Pinnacle College Rynfield on Sunday, 6 December 2026. Gates open at 15h30, with live music by Jarred Smith, time to relax and enjoy the afternoon together, followed by a special candle-lighting ceremony as the sun sets. It is an opportunity to slow down, make time for the people who matter, celebrate those who are with us and remember those we carry in our hearts.

For four decades, East Rand Palliative Care has walked alongside patients and families facing life-threatening illness. What began in 1986 as a small, volunteer-driven initiative has grown into a dedicated home-based service supporting thousands across the East Rand. Our commitment remains unchanged: compassionate care, delivered with dignity, where patients feel safest… at home.
