R40 For 40 Years
This year, East Rand Palliative Care marks 40 Years of Care and Community. We’re inviting our community to be part of that care in a simple way. We’ve set a goal of raising R400,000 through our R40 for 40 Years campaign, asking people to donate R40 or more in honour of 40 Years of Care and Community.
40 Years of Care and Community.
For four decades, East Rand Palliative Care has walked alongside patients and families facing life-threatening illness. What began in 1986 as a small, volunteer-driven initiative has grown into a dedicated home-based service supporting thousands across the East Rand. Our commitment remains unchanged: compassionate care, delivered with dignity, where patients feel safest… at home.
This is our story. This is our community. And this is the heart of what we do.
How can we help?

Through medical expertise, emotional support, and specialised training, we empower patients and families to navigate their journey with dignity and comfort.
